Salutations
I've been primarily concerned with Industry, Research, and Planetary Interaction. But, as I've been building ships and browsing the ship tree, I've discovered a fondness for those Logistics ships.
Now, I'm relatively inexperienced when it comes to combat flying (a combination of crafting obsession and general cowardice). But, at a glance those Logistics ships look like they're intended to repair other ships out in space. Am I correct in that?
If that's the case, then are Logistic pilots in demand at all? Obviously I just sort of build/sell things in my own little private corporation, but would there be circumstances where a Logistics pilot would be valued in a fleet? Or has PvP evolved to the point where Logistics ships have little-to-no impact?
Any feedback, information, or advice in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, fantastic!
This gives me a new hobby outside of manufacturing. Thank you.

Do you mean pick one and specialize? Or do you mean do both concurrently?

I keep seeing people say "reps". Forgive me, I'm not too savvy with a lot of the shorthand yet. Could someone explain what a "rep" is, and what it means in the context of this thread please?
And thanks for all the feedback. I'm really enjoying all the information that you're providing.

Excellent, thank you!
As I'm unfamiliar with how the modules function, I've been getting a bit of practice in by repairing my drones while hitting NPC complexes. I could see this being pretty hectic, to be honest. Thankfully, I don't think many ships fly away as fast as drones do, so running a logistics cruiser might be easier with players.

I have a thing about making sure I can manufacture a ship (and the modules) before I actually fly them. So, I look forward to seeing what these things can do.
